INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2022 MTC INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD SOCCER TOURNAMENT

MTC Foundation is hosting the above tournament on the Saturday 29th of October 2022 as part of the commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child under the theme “Redefining Girls’ Spaces”. According to UNICEF, the global theme is "Our time is now—our rights, our future" The event will host 8 senior teams and 4 junior teams at Nhedziwa Soccer Grounds.  Each team will have a maximum of 20 persons including players and the technical bench.
    On behalf of MTC Foundation, I formally invite your club to participate in this one-day tournament.
The tournament is designed as an exchange program for girls 13-20 years and will have learning opportunities through our girls' mentorship sessions. 
We are inviting you to express in writing by filling out the attached form your interest in participating in the tournament. 

Your response should reach us by no later than 15 September 2022.

MTC is celebrating IDGC in two hubs, The first one is an invitational in Mhondoro -Ngezi where 4 teams of 20 girls will be participating. 
​Teams from Gavhunga and Nyika are fielding both senior and junior teams. 
In Chimanimani , over 240 girls are going to be actively  participating at this soccer tournament. More girls will be there participating at the Nhanga by Rozaria Memorial Trust, side sessions by the Football ambassadors of Zimbabwe,  Street business  workshop by Talia and Organic Farming workshop by Tavitam Charity Wing. 
Girls from MTC, Bright Minds Academy, Blue Dragon, Bumba, Chiramba, Mutambara and Rowa will be battling it out. RMT will not be defending their floating shield.
